Born Aug. 18, 1924, in McHue, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ida Haertlein Stalling.
She was a retired teacher from Southside School District. She received a bachelors of arts in 1946 from Arkansas College (now Lyon College) and was of the Assembly of God Faith.
Survivors include a son, Randal Burge of Vicksburg, Miss.; two daughters, Carlotte Brown and Kay O'Brien, both of Batesville; eight grandchildren, Gloria Brown, Jonathan Brown, Kayla O'Brien, Kyle O'Brien, Kory O'Brien, Chris Burge, Joshua Burge and Erin Myers; and three great-grandchildren, Braden Serre Brown, Landon Brown and Ezekiel Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, R.G. Burge; three brothers, Fred Siedenburg, Gus Siedenburg and Bill Siedenburg; and a sister, Ida Floyd.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God, located at 20th and Lyon streets, with Jeff Cox and Terry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Egner Cemetery at Salado.
Pallbearers will be Champ Hawkins, David Insell, Roger Wright, Ron Webb, Tony Hammock and James Toy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville.
