She was born December 28, 1937, in New Orleans and was a loving and wonderful mother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hezzie "Bill" William Graves; 3 children: son, Hiram "Billy" Graves, son & daughter-in-law, Jason and Tammy Mitchell Graves, daughter, Rachelle Graves; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Rousseau Brown and brother, Ike Turnage.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Celestine "Sugar Holmes" Turnage and Lille Lewis Rousseau Turnage; brother, Mervin Rousseau; sister, Alvinia Rousseau; brother, Teaurlin Turnage; twin brother, Wendolyn Turnage.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula and will continue on Wednesday after 8:00 am.
Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in the Wetmore Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
