Kenneth V. Blessing, 90, of Little Rock, died December 26, 2011. He was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas on May 6, 1921 to Andrew Dewey and Orpha O. Anderson Blessing. He retired from Reynolds Metal Company. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Little Rock and a charter member of the Rackensack Folklore Society. He was a veteran of the Army/Air Force.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Simpson Blessing and one grandson. He is survived by four daughters, Linda Young and husband Ken of Bethany, Oklahoma, Janet Bingham of Little Rock, Wanda Manion and husband Gary of Maumelle, and Denise Hammett of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Melba Boyle of Columbus, Georgia; one brother, Don Blessing of North Little Rock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011 at First Church of the Nazarene in Little Rock with Dr. Jim Daniel officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock.
