Vi went on to graduate from Draughn's School of Business in Tulsa in 1955. She had a long career in accounting and worked with a large firm out of Phoenix, AZ. Her career also took her to Grand Prairie, TX. Her retirement brought her back home to Vinita, OK to be near her family. She raised cattle with her brother, John. She also worked for the State of Oklahoma until her second retirement. Vi was impressively organized. She spent many years tracing her family history on both her father's and mother's sides. She documented her findings in a book for all the family to share and pass on to the next generation.
Family meant so much to her and she had a great respect for her father and Heavenly Father. She kept family photos and loved to create DVDs for each of her siblings and their families. She was the host of family reunions and the keeper of the family grave-sites. Vi is preceded in death by her father and mother, 6 sisters, and 5 brothers. She has several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and possibly great-great nieces and nephews.
