SALT LAKE CITY - Mrs. Lettie Christensen Cheney, 81, of 868 20th E., formerly of Brigham City, died of natural causes Thursday in a Salt Lake hospital.

Mrs. Cheney was born DEC 7, 1887, in Brigham City, a daughter of John L. and Sarah Cristine Forsgren Christensen.

She was married to Frederick Clinton Cheney on Oct 8, 1908, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died on May 16, 1957.

A member of the LDS Church, she helped organize the Primary in Corrine and served as president. She was a member of the Relief Society and Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Monument Park Camp.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: C. Glen Cheney, Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Ralph, Mrs. William (Donna) McCracken, Mrs. Blaine (Helen) Hicks, Mrs. Henry (Faye) Ellerman, Mrs. Gordon (Mara) Brown, Mrs. Ralph (DeLone) Murdock, all of Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sisters, Hazel Christensen, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 noon in the Monument Park LDS Ward Chapel, 1005 S. 20th E.

Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Monday one hour prior to services. Burial in Wasatch lawn Memorial Park.
