James F. Lindsey married Zenobia Marlin on 14 January 1900 at the old Rock Church at Throckmorton, Texas. The couple lived in Throckmorton, Texas until 1906 when they moved to Stamford, Texas. The couple moved to Anson, Texas in 1914.

Zenobia Marlin was born southeast of Williamsburg near the mouth of Cow Creek. The Marlin family was one of the first families in Texas. John Marlin, Zenobia's great-grandfather moved to Texas in 1835 from Alabama. John Marlin was the first Acalade of Yieca near the falls of the Brazos. Zenobia's father spoke several Indian languages. Services for Mrs. J.F. Lindsey, 85, were held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Eklund, pastor, officiating assisted by Rev. Bob Poteet, Presbyterian minister in Anson.

Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was very active in the Baptist Church. Mrs. LIndsey was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Texas Republic, and the Anson Woman's Club. She was a homemaker and private music teacher.

Survived by four sons - John Romulus Lindsey, James Franklin Lindsey, Rayford Worth Lindsey, William Theodore Lindsey; one daughter - Zenobia Frank Encke; one sister - Mrs. Daisy Thomas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
