Vesta Kunz Flandro, 91, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home.

She was born July 5, 1920 in Tremonton, Utah, the daughter of Alfred Grein and Rosa Knowles Kunz.

Vesta married Wayne Louis Flandro on July 21, 1942 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Vesta served faithfully in the LDS church throughout her life in many positions including Visiting Teacher, Relief Society President, and Temple Ordinance Worker.

She loved serving and helping others. Vesta loved her family, quilting, cooking, gardening, crocheting, and sewing.

Surviving are her children: David Wayne (Joan), Santa Clara, UT; Carol (Dennis) Harris, Kaysville; and Bonnie (Lenard) Huff, Laie, HI; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Johnson, Draper.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Flandro; daughter, Marion Flandro; five brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the Lincoln Ward Chapel, 590 West Antelope Drive. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment: Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 North Fairfield Road.
