Betsy Roundtree was born in Kentucky on
July 8, 1825. She moved with her parents
to Knox county, Illinois. On September 8,
1844 she was married to Robert Osborn.
In 1866 they came to Marshall county,
Kansas, and settled on a farm near Frank-
fort, Kansas, where they lived until 1886,
when they moved into Frankfort.
Mr. Osborn died on August 9, 1892. Since
that time she has made her home with her
son, D.R. Osborn in Frankfort, Kansas.
Mrs. Osborn was the mother of nine child-
ren, seven of whom survive her, they are
Mrs. J.M. Shumate, Frankfort, Kansas,
Steven S. Osborn, Orting, Washington,
Mrs. G.N. Morse, Frankfort, Kansas, John
Osborn, Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Cal Warnica
And D.R. Osborn, Frankfort, Kansas and
Walter Osborn, Cedar Ridge, Colorado.
Two daughters, Mrs. William Warnica and
Hattie Osborn preceded her in death.
Betsy Roundtree Osborn passed away on
April 24, 1921.
Funeral services were held at the home on
Tuesday afternoon, April 26th with the
Reverend R.C. Rixler officiating.
Burial was in the Willow Hill Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas, next to her husband
