ROCK ISLAND — Jean Clayton Carlson, 93, of Rock Island, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island.
Entombment in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Jean was born on November 10, 1918, in Hudson, Mass., the daughter of Robert E. and Charlotte Haliburton Clayton. Graduate of Rock Island High School and Augustana College, affiliated with the Kappa Tau Sorority.
She married Lennart Carlson on October 11, 1958, in Rock Island. Jean was an office manager for the Rock Island Children's Clinic, retiring in 1959. She was a longtime member of Broadway Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women, a lifelong member of Victory Circle of King's Daughters.
Jean is survived by her son, Roger Carlson, Rock Island; grandchildren, Justin, Evan, and Amanda; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Doris Wenos; and brother, Robert Carlson.
