Vera Robinson
LEONARD- Vera Robinson, 95, of Jacksonville, formerly of Leonard, died Wednesday in the Gardendale Nursing Home in Jacksonville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Chris Cowen officiating. Burial is in the Leonard Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 7, 1902, the daughter of Rufus Owens and Clemie Swindell Owens. She married Edgar Robinson in 1935. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Holden of Jacksonville; a sister, Mildred Broach of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in Leonard which is in charge of arrangements.
