Thomas Dean Price, Sr., 59, or Turnpike Road, Ashland RD, died early Monday morning at his home, following a lengthy illness according to Deputy Coroner James White, of Ashland RD.
Born in Frackville, July 16, 1907, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Bowen) Price. Retired Mr. Price had previously been employed as a bulldozer runner at Otto Breaker outside Ashland.
He was a member of Ashland Church of God, Turnpike Road, the West End Hose Company of Shamokin, and American Fire Co. NO. 1, Fountain Springs.
Surviving are his wife, the former Blanche M. Snyder; six children; First SGT. William G., U.S. Army, Stationed in Munich, Germany; Staff SGT. Thomas D. Jr., U. S. Air Force, stationed at Laon, France; Emma Jane, wife of Wayne Moehle, of Stanton, Ill., Sarah Ann, wife of Nelson Lockett, of Frackville; Ruth Dianne and Barry Lee, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Anne Haines of Frackville; four brothers, George, Harry, Robert, all of Frackville; William G., of Lansdale.
Norman H. Evans, funeral director of Fountain Springs, has charge and will announce arrangements upon completion.
