He is mentioned in the 1865 contesting of his brother's, Andrew Arnow, will as having, often, come down to visit Andrew Arnow at his residence in Westchester Square. James was living with one of his sons in White Plains, New York. He was named, more than likely, after his mother's father, James ( Jacques) Secord. It was also mentioned that the two brothers would argue ( fun tease) over how old each one was. He outlived his brother, Andrew Arnow Senior, by one year, living to the age of 94 years. In 1810, there is listed in the Federal census , a James Erno, a John Erno and a Peter Erno all living next door to each other just down the hill, next door also, ( North Avenue, New Rochelle, New York) from Moses Clark and a Mrs. Clark. I believe that James Erno is Andrew Arnow's brother, John Erno, is Andrew Arnow's father and the Peter Erno is Andrew Arnow's Great Uncle Peter Renoud's grandson. Also found a few lots down the road is a Stephen Erno. He has 12 people , including himself , living in his home. This Stephen is probably another of Peter Renoud's grandsons, from his son Peter Renoud Junior.
