She was born Delta Oakley on June 16, 1893 in Springfield Utahto Richard Delos Oakley and Julia Malinda (Minne) Croff, their eldest child. She married first James Berry Lerwill, with whom she had two daughters, Margaret that died in her youth and Donna who later married Elmer Hamrick. Delta was divorced and married later to James Lindsay Faddis. Delta died March 2, 1973. Before her death she returned to her homelands of Springfield Utah.
