Mary Edith Betz 92, of 521 Fourth Ave, Gallipolis, died Friday, April 12, 1991, at her residence following several months of failing health. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Gallipolis. She was born March 9, 1899, in Walnut Township, Gallia County, daughter of the late John A Straight and Ollie Belle Neal. She is survived by her husband, Harry Betz whom she married June 05, 1917 in Gallipolis. Other survivors include one daughter Mrs. Leota (Walt) Abblett of Gallipolis, one son James N Betz of Gallipolis; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are two sons, Kenneth and John Carroll; one grandson, Michael Abblett, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday at Wall Halley Wood with Rev Joseph Godwin officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery
