Caroline Abell, 88, longtime Hardin area resident, died Friday Dec 5, 1007 in the Big Horn County Memorial Nursing Home. She was born March 10, 1909 in Napolean ND, a daughter of Heinrich and Maria Schuler Junker. She grew up and received her education in Napoleon. She worked on the family farm until 1933 and then moved to Montana. Caroline met Robert Lee Abell and they were married in June 1934 in Hardin. The couple farmed north of Hardin until 1973, when they moved to Hardin. Mr Abell passed away in 1975. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Bible. Survivors include 3 daughters, Dorine Abell of Hardin, Arlene Hopkins of Lafayette LA and Leora Warner of Eugene OR; a brother, Oscar Junker of Hardin; two sisters, Pauline Schmidt and Louise Steinmetz of Hardin; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday in theBullis Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin was entrusted with the arrangements.
