Sister of Local Resident is Dead
Miss Berg Dies at William Brenzel Home, Rites Wednesday.
Miss Jennie Sofia Berg, 51, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Brenzel of 215 Cloverland Drive. Mrs. Berg was Mrs. Brenzel's sister and had been living here for the last four years.
Miss Berg was born in Crystal Falls on September 25, 1890 and lived there until the death of her mother four years ago. She then came to Ironwood to make her home with her sister. Besides Mrs. Brenzel, the survivors include two other sisters, Mrs. Clair Ponchand of Crystal Falls and Mrs. Earl Ponchand of Joliet, Ill., and one brother, Emil Berg of West Allis, Wis.
The body was taken to Crystal Falls today to the home of Mrs. Clair Ponchand. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Municipal cemetery.
