Margaret Reynolds Menees Jordon, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, the 20th of December 2011. Margaret was born to the late Clark and Hazel Reynolds on the 8th of August 1919, in McAlpin, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Menees and Noah Jordon; and four siblings. Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Alexander and Robert Clarke; granddaughters, Lauren Jade Alexander, and Taylor Clarke and Kirby Clarke; a brother, Bill Reynolds; and her step-children, Sandy Spalding, Ruth Mary Lovitt, and Tom Jordan.
The funeral service is to be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 23rd of December, in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, 1320 Main Street in Houston, where Dr. Stephen P. Wende, Senior Pastor, and Rev. Charles H. Thompson, Executive Pastor, are to officiate. Prior to the service, during the noon hour, the family will receive friends during a visitation in the Wesley Room of the church.
The interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to the Restoration Fund at First Methodist Church, 1320 Main Street, Houston, TX, 77002.
