Lloyd Ferguson, 86, of Mondovi, died Saturday December 27, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born on July 16, 1917, in Jordan township, Fillmore Co., Minn., to John and Tidal Wave (Winans) Ferguson.
He married Mildred Finley in Iowa. They were later divorced. He married Lillian Heath Bartholomew on October 10, 1981, in Mondovi. Lloyd farmed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He moved to the Eleva area in 1981. He has resided at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi for the past three years. He was baptized at the home in March of 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Ferguson of Eleva; six children, Irene Stiles of Grapevine, Texas, Marilyn Harfield of Bedford, Texas, Melvin (Dee) Ferguson of South Carolina, Dale (Kathy) Ferguson of Rochester, Minn., Max Ferguson of Chatfield, Minn., and Lisa Parish of Rochester, Minn.; four stepchildren, Robert E Bartholomew of Kenosha, Ronald (Reve) Bartholomew of Kenosha, Judy (Martin) Sandberg of Eleva and Randy (Rose) Bartholomew of Eleva; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Emma) Ferguson Jr. of Chatfield, Minn.; and one sister, Gladys Grieve of Chatfield,
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at Eleva Lutheran Church in Eleva, Wis., with Rev Kermit Solem officiating. Burial will be at Sumner Presbyterian Cemetery in Chatfield, Minn.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Eleva and on Wednesday for one hour before the service at the church.
