Mary Jean McIntyre was the daughter of Earl Lester & Mary Margaret Allen McIntyre. Her untimely death at the age of 19 years, occurred just after returning home from nursing school in Alton, Illinois. She was a 1950 graduate of Murphysboro Township High School. Circumstances of her death were judged to be a suicide by the coroner. Reasons for her death were never brought forth by the family.
