Freida C. Reed, 72, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 surrounded by her family.
She was the former Freida Gilmore, a native of Corydon, IN, a customer service representative for Yellow Freight Systems for over 32 years and a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Nicholas Thomas Reed; two sons, Troy Scott, of Hebron, KY and Rodger Reed, of Lawrenceburg, IN; her brother, James Gilmore; three stepgrandchildren, Shena, Chasta and Laurna and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Brennen and Brooklyn.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Hosparus Home Health Team and to Dr. Lynn Parker and staff at the Brown Cancer Center for their loving care and dedication given to Freida during her treatment.
Her funeral will be 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Pearson-Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery. Those wanting to attend the graveside, please meet the family at the funeral home by 11 a.m. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, it was Freida's wish that you please make contributions to the Kentucky Humane Society.
