Glendon David (Glen) Gilmore, 73, Sun Prairie, Wis., died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at his home.

Born Dec. 4, 1934, in French Lick, he was the son of the late William and Edith Gilmore.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was employed in various occupations, including concessionaire, auto parts and, most recently, with the Bruce Co. in Middleton, Wis., and was co-owner of Harmony Hill Husbandry.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Glendon Gilmore, in 2002; two brothers, Morris and Joseph; and three sisters, Donna, Lucetta and Melda.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandy; a daughter, Christina Rose; a sister, Freida Reed; a brother, James Gilmore of Harrison County; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Sunday, Sept. 21, at Gunderson East Funeral Home in Madison, Wis., with burial on Monday in Highland Memory Gardens.

Officiant: The Rev. Richard Gibbs.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the family in care of Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Centers, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, WI 53716.
