Devoe Berkheiser, Nov. 24, 1918 - April 8, 1996. Devoe BERKHEISER, 77, 506 Broadway St., Argos, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth. He was born in Richland Center to Harvey and Grace OVERMYER BERKHEISER. On Dec. 28, 1944, in Maxwell, Texas, he married Hildegarde BONEIG, who survives. He lived most of his life in the Argos and Rochester communities. He was an electrician for the town of Argos for many years and was also a self-employed woodworker and cabinet maker. He served in the U.S. Army Airforce in World War II. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mary BERKHEISER, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Deise MORLEY, Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Vaughn [BERKHEISER], Bixby, Okla.; and Jeffrey [BERKHEISER], Argos; three granddaughters, Mrs. Shauna SUNTKEN, Plymouth; and Danielle and Emily BERKHEISER, both of Bixby, Okla.; and one sister, Mrs. Ted (Velma) STICHLER, Rochester. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Marshall County Heart Association.
