Wesley: John Bernard Muehe, aged 71 years, died Sunday at 6:30 a. m. in the Roberts Rest Home at Algona where he had been a patient for three days.

He was born February 28, 1881, to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Muehe at Quincy, Ill. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Mahoney at Duncomb, Iowa, in 1910. To this union were born five children. all of whom survive. Mrs. Muehe died May 10, 1930.

The family moved to a farm south of Wesley, now owned by Ray Hansens, in 1913, later moving to a farm north of town where the Clarence Ackersons now live. He married Ann Hildman in 1934 and the couple retired to Wesley ten years later. Mrs. Muehe died Oct 25, 1945.

Mr. Muehe suffered a stroke May 10, 1946, and had been an invalid since that time.

Mr. Muehe is survived by his five children: Bob Muehe and Mrs. Albert Dirksen (Dorothy) of Albert Lea, Minn.; John Muehe, Mrs. Urban Lickteig (Agnes), and Ruth Muehe, all of Wesley; also by 14 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs Julia Prindiville and mrs. Katherine Robinson of Quincy, Ill, and Mrs Mamie Crowley of Half Moon Bay, California. Two brothers, Joe and John, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic church by Rev. L. N. Klein.
