Ashenhurst Services

Funeral services will be held Wednesday ar 2 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Funeral chapel for Mrs. Emma Marie (C.D.) Ashenhurst who died at the Holmes Memorial Hospital at 12 noon Monday.

The Rev. Floyd R. Whatley, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct the service with burial to take place in the City cemetery.

Mrs. Ashenhurst was born in Clay Center, Kans., the daughter of Antonie Carls and Theodor Mittendorf, natives respectively of Germany and the state of Ohio.

She married to Curtis Dibel Ashenhurst who preceded her in death on September 11, 1953. She lived for a time in Ponca City, Okla., and in New Braunfels prior to moving to Gonzales. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church for 22 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Miss Allene Ashenhurst of Gonzales; one son, Curtis Dee Ashenhurst of Garland; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Roy C. (Helen) Potts of Winter Park, Fla.; four brothers, Carl of Lemont, Ill.; Theodor of Tavares, Fla.; Oscar of Selma, Ala.; and Herman F. Mittendorf of Lawton, Okla.

A daughter, Mrs. John (Marie) Garison of Wichita, Kans., died on June 3, 1965.

Pallbearers will be Otis Moore, Alfred Lindeman, John M. Mohrmann, Sr., Edgar Lang, Leonard Jakel and Russell Remschel.
