OAKBORO - Mrs. Eva Adie Barbee Morton 83, of 9704 Richard Sandy Road, died December 26, 1996 at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel with Elder Ted Morton and Reverend Tony Bradley officiating. Interment is at Smiths Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Visitation is 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

Mrs. Morton was a homemaker born April 22, 1913 in Stanly County, daughter of the late Jim and Eva Whitley Barbee Morton. She was married to the late Arthur Ellis Morton who died May 6, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Morton and Jimmy Morton both of Oakboro; sister, Mrs. Bergie Little of Oakboro; five grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of a son, Jimmy Morton, 9692 Richard Sandy Road in Oakboro.
