Henry William as he wanted to be known as he was born Henry Edwin Scoble in Dartmouth Devon.. until he was 4 he was living on Foss Street with his parents two uncles William (baker)and James .and sibling sisters.
Henry William Scoble was a HOME CHILD from Torquay, Devon , England he emigrated with the Annie Macpherson home when he was nine years old . He was brought over with his six year old brother George Scoble. The boys went to different homes , in North Waterloo and Stratford. Henry learned the German language and farming.
Once Henry married he and his family lived in Bloomingdale. The family eventually moved to Kitchener(Berlin) in 1910 and farmed on Highland Road where the Evergreen motel stood and the Food Basics mall is today.Highland Road(then called the Petersburg Road) and Lawrence Ave.

He married Caroline Eckstein on April 22, 1894 in Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario. Marriage Register #012307.

They raised 8 children.
