Samuel Ray
Samuel Ray, 67 years old ,formerly
of New Albany, died at 1 o'clock yes-
terday afternoon at this home, 834 East
Washington Street, Louisville. The
body was taken to the home of his
sister-in-law, Mrs. Willaim S. Ray,
217 West Main Street, New Albany,
where funeral services will be held at
3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Ray was born in Birmingham,
England. He was a resident of New
Albany for many years during which
time he was employed by the Ohio
Falls Iron Company. For several
years he had been in the employ of
the Ewald Iron Compnay, Louisville.
Mr. Ray was a member of the Amalga-
mated Association of Iron, Steel and
Tin Workers, and is past president
and national delegate from New Al-
bany lodge. Surviving him are his
widow, Mrs. Alice Ray; three sons,
John W. Ray, New Albany; Edgar
Ray, who is in the Navy, and Theoo-
dore Ray, Louisville; and two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Estelle Garrett, Muncie,
Ind., and Miss Pearl Ray, Louisville.
