Hugh Ingerson, Ex-Policeman, Dies - Hugh Ingerson, 90, W3314 Fourth, one of the oldest retired members of the Spokane Police Department, died Saturday at a local nursing home.
A native of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, Mr. Ingerson lived in the Spokane area 67 years.
He joined the police department in 1913 and served as one of the first traffic directors. His positions in the department ranged from traffic assignments to the Detective Division. He retired 30 years ago.
Mr. Ingerson was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Spokane.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. H.O. Forde, and Mrs. Ivan Broadhead, both Spokane, and two grandchildren, Hugh Broadhead and Mrs. Ronald Wilgen, both Spokane.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Alsgaard officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Memorial Park.
