Joseph Ruhland, 77, of rural Maurice, died at his home Saturday (Jan. 29, 1977) after an illness of several years.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic church at Struble. Rev. Robert Schimmer will
officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery under direction of the Luedtke funeral home of Le Mars.

The parish will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ruhland was born Aug. 21, 1899; south of Le Mars in Stanton township. He married Marie Gysbertsen Jan. 19,
1926, in Struble. They farmed in rural Maurice.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Edward of rural Maurice and Lawrence of Hawarden; six grandchildren; two brothers, Frank of Le Mars and Norbert of Struble; and a sister, Katherine Ruhland of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary Goebel.
