Born in Buck Creek [Sept. 14, 1871], she came to Frankfort in 1912 from Columbia City. She was a member of the Eastern Star, War Mothers, Izaak Walton auxiliary, D.A.R (National #242965)., and local organizations. She was the first P.T.A. president of the Kyger School, formerly known as the old Second Ward School. In 1895 she married Otis Walter Stair who died in 1932.
Surviving are three sons, Otis Walter Stair, Jr. of Colburn, Carlyle B. of Glendale, Cal., and Kenneth of Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. H. E. (Lucile Stair) Dickerman of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Robert Van Sickle of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Edward (LaVerna May) Hodge, Sr. of Frankfort and a brother, Paul W. Baer of Annacortes, Wash.
