From The Men & Women of World War II from Fannin County : Pfc. Willie M. Adcock, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Adcock, attended school at Bailey. Entered the Army April 1943, training in the Infantry at Camp Wolters, Texas. Has been in France, making the D-Day Invasion, England and Germany. Is now on duty in England. Was wounded Nov. 20, 1944, in Germany. Has ETO Ribbons with battle stars, the Purple Heart and other hoonors.
