Grandfather James Hill was an officer in the American Revolution, Parents Capt. William Hill fought in the War of 1812, mother's maiden name was also Hill and was the daughter of an officer of colonial troops in the Revolutionary war from Maryland. He was one of twelve children eight boys and four girls. Other siblings Ruth Hill, was among the early school teachers of Wisconsin and was living with her sister Jane Hill Dunbar in Shullsburg in 1850. Sam Hill. Brother Mark Hill born 1814 Ohio was living with his sister Jane Hill Dunbar in Shullsburg as of 1850.

Mrs. Wilson was born July 7, 1828, at Marietta, O. She was the daughter of Captain and Mrs. William Hill. Her father served in the war of 1812. Her grandfather, James Hill, was an officer in the American revolution. She was married August 3, 1848, to Charles Louis Wilson of Marietta, O. In 1864 they moved to Berlin, Wis., where they resided until 1878 when they came to Nebraska. At that time, Mrs. Wilson retired from mercantile business and engaged in farming and stock raising. Mr. Wilson died sixteen years ago. Soon after his death Mrs. Wilson was stricken with paralysis and has been unable to walk for thirteen years. For one year she remained in her home with her son, George Wilson, and spent two years with her son, Albert Wilson, for ten years she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. L.O. Jones, of Lincoln, where she passed away last Monday morning.
During the years of her affliction she has been most patient, always manifesting a sweet Christian spirit. Her mind has been remarkably clear, and her interest in the affairs of the world never slackened. She has been a sincere Christian all her life and an active worker in the church as long as her health would permit.
She leaves four sons and one daughter, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her sons are William H. Wilson of Frasure, Col., Charles L. Wilson of Lincoln, Albert Wilson and George Wilson of Haigler, Neb.
Short funeral services were held Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Jones. Dr. J.H. Clemens and Rev. Oscar Low of Grace M.E. church officiating. The remains were taken to Haigler, Neb. for interment funeral service being held in the M.E. church at 2 pm Tuesday.
