His mother was Zelma May Pierce (1913-1973).
Their children are Davie Lee Henneinke and Geraldine Fern (Henneinke) Habitz (1934 -).

On 11 Mar 1956, he married Phyllis Ann Carlson (1933-1991).
Their children were Joy Lynn (1957 -), Dean William (1959-1997), Brian Edward (1960 -), and Robert Lee (1961-2001).
He married Sandra Manuel on 26 Sep 1998.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Watseka, member of the American Legion Post 23, member of the Iroquois County VFW Post 7450, and 50-year member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 841.

He is survived by his second wife, Sandra Manuel, of Watseka, his son, Brian, of Iroquois, his daughter, Joy Lynn, of Rose Bud, Ark.; his sister, Geraldine Habitz of Dearborn, Michigan, a half sister, Joan Arlene and brother-in-law, Allen Gehm, of Bourbonnais; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew, of Dearborn, Michigan

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Phyllis, and two sons, Dean and Robert.

He was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Milford.
