Mr. William Van Adams age 70 of 119 Burton Street, Mount Airy, NC, husband of Hilda Jessup Adams, passed away at his home on Friday, August 31, 2007. Mr. Adams was a loving husband, son, father and friend to all. He was born in Surry County on August 2, 1937 son of Irene Simmons Adams and the late Gaston Isom Adams. He was retired from Sara Lee and was a member of Toms Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Hilda Jessup Adams of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Bruce Schneggenburger of Advance; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Heather Adams of Draper, VA; five grandchildren, Jacob Adams, Brett Schneggenburger, Cody Schneggenburger, Kalep Adams and Whitney Horton; one great-grandchild, Ryland Horton; his mother, Irene Simmons Adams of Pilot Mountain; one sister and brother-in-law, Pandola and Ronnie Bunn of Pilot Mountain and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Becky Adams and Clay and Shelby Adams all of Pilot Mountain. Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Toms Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Elder V.J. Hawks, Elder John Calhoun, Elder Walter Thomas and Elder Jimmy Joyce with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
