Pearl Coleman McClure, 100, of Hayesville died Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. For about 20 years, she operated a country store in the Myers Chapel Community and later operated McClure's Clothing Outlet for several years. She and her husband shared the love of gospel music and she accompanied the group on the piano participating in many gospel singing conventions in several states. She was a member of the Myers Chapel United Methodist Church for most of her life and in her later years, she was a member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Eugenia Murray Coleman and the wife of the late Cline E. McClure, who died November 7, 1984. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, and a great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 16 in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Revs. Jacob Kyker and Guinnell Hunter officiating.

Interment will be held in the Myers Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael McClure, Kevin Crawford, Kelly Crawford, Kery Morgan, Cory Rogers, and Barry Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Friday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Pearl Coleman McClure to the Oak Forest United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 152, Hayesville, NC 28904.
