BRASELTON - Mrs. Ruby Humphries, 84, died Friday, April 13, 2001.
Born in Habersham County, Mrs. Humphries was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Carrie Belle Ballew Cantrell. She was the wife of the late Clyde Allen Humphries.
A resident of Jackson County since 1961, Mrs. Humphries was a retired seamstress and a member of Center Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Cyrus Raymond Humphries, in 1992.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Clinton Gooch and Truman Humphries officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
