Mrs. Perry passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the East Alabama Regional Medical Center in Opelika. A native and life-long resident of Cragford in Randolph County, she graduated from Lineville High School and for over 20 years was the manger of McConnell's 5 & 10 Store, which later became the Ben Franklin and Value Mart Store. Lorene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Mrs. Perry is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Peebles of Douglasville, GA; two sons: Charles R. Perry Jr. of Auburn and Mike Perry of Cragford; two sisters: Lajune Mitchell of Chelsea and Bettie Smith of Wetumpka, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and until service time at 11:00 A.M.
