Adeline H. Bruce, 73, a native of Chauvin and resident of Cut Off, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008.
Funeral service was held at noon today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Lucille Matherne; two sons, Christo-pher "Boogie" Bruce and Chad Bruce; one daughter, Christie Bruce; two brothers, Murray Hebert and Leroy Hebert; two sisters, Doris H. Chauvin and Sheryl M. Scott; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Augustin Matherne; her father, Aurestile Hebert; her stepfa-ther, Clay Matherne; and one sister, Wendy H. Trahan.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
