Ida Reed Smith passed away on May 6, 2003.
Ida was born on April 19, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Castle Gate, Utah before moving to Salt Lake. Ida was an accomplished seamstress who loved working with the public and sewing for her grandchildren. She devoted her whole life to raising her son and his family.
Ida is survived by her son Michael Smith (Linda); her granddaughters Tonya Cummings (Brent), Michelle Goddard (Tomothy), Kelly Smith and fiance Kevin Zenger; as well as her great grandchildren Morgyn Cummings, Tarryn, Devan and Jayden Goddard. Her parents William and Ida Reed; her brother Herbert Reed; and her sisters Dorothy Milano and Laura Tilt, preceded her in death.
There will be a viewing at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, May 10th. Graveside services will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave & N Street.
