Prior to 1946, Mrs. Abrahams worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Des Moines. She also worked for Winterset veterinarian Dr. David Griswold in 1968 and 1969.
A resident of Madison County for the past 29 years, Mrs. Abrahams was affiliated with the First Christian Church of Winterset. She was a member of the Americana Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, George, of Winterset; a son, John Michael Abrahams of Winterset; and a daughter, Janelle Yahnke, of Omaha, Nebr.
Also surviving are two brothers, Vern Carmichael of Fort Dodge and Tom Carmichael of Guthrie Cener, and a sister, Nell Gillespie of Lancaster, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
