The daughter of John Stout Pratt and Theadosia Balchi Hitt Pratt. She married Roy C. Golden on November 15, 1921. They had three children: Christine, Virginia, and Rosie. He was killed in a coal mine in 1928 and she later married his brother Oney Anderson Golden on July 30, 1932. They had four children: Harley, Lester, Martha and Roy. Martha Jane did home canning and quilting.
