She was born in Rockdale, Fla. Coming from Miami, she had lived in Florahome from 1972 until 1996 when she became an assisted living patient. She was a homemaker. She helped to start the Florahome Full Gospel Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. "Bo" Butler.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Shirley A. Arant of Interlachen and Jeanette H. and Howie Schrupp of Miami; brother, James Arthur Edgar of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy L. Arant, Tina M. Cribbs, and Toni M. Pierce; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be today, 10 a.m. at United Children of God Church in Florahome (formerly the Florahome Full Gospel Church) with Rev. Keith Hutcheson and Rev. Thelma Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in Eliam Cemetery in Melrose.
