Funeral services for Mrs Chrisop were held May 19, at Concordia Luthran Church, Geneseo with the Rev. Dean Dummer officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetary, Geneseo.
Viola C. Gernant was born on February 2, 1904 in Geneseo, the daughter of Henry and Martha Hohenboken Gernant. She married Kenneth Chrisop on January 16, 1929 in Geneseo. He died on November 10, 1992.
She had farmed with her husband in the Hooppole area for 30 years until retring in 1970.
Mrs Chrisop was a lifetime member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo and a member of the Concordia Ladies League. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and three brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Rice of Geneseo, a grand daughter and two grandsons.
