A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 16, 1999, at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate at the service [and] will [officiate] burial of his cremains at Pioneers Rest Cemetery.
He was born September 22, 1906, in Two Rivers, son of the late Daniel and Mary Altmann Lahey. He attended local schools including Two Rivers Washington High School. On December 15, 1937, he married Hazel Waskow in Two Rivers. Roy was employed with U.S. Steel Company as a chief engineer for 45 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing years ago, but especially loved the time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Lahey, Two Rivers; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister, Mary C. Lahey, Norwalk, Conn., one brother-in-law, Erwin Waskow, Two Rivers. He was preceded in death by one sister and three step-brothers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Grace Congregational Church, on Monday, August 16, 1999, after 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
