Hazel W. Lahey, age 86, formerly of 1624 29th St., Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, Sept. 28, at Harmony of Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 1, 2002, at Grace Congregational UCC, with the Rev. Kim Henning officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Hazel was born in Two Rivers on Nov. 9, 1915, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Ahrndt Waskow. She attended grade school and was a graduate of Washington High School. On Dec. 15, 1937, she was married to Roy Lahey in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1999.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Mary Lahey of Horicon, Wis.; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Ruth and Dean Mahlum of Beloit, Wi., Sue and Robert Kitto of Beloit, Wi.; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Neil Jindra of Laramie, Wy.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, many dear friends and her family at Harmony. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Grace Congregational UCC after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Grace Congregational UCC. The Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels assisted the Lahey family with arrangements. Herald Times Reporter, September 28, 2002 P. A3
