SALTVILLE, Va. Richard "Peanut" Price, age 52, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his father, Sanders Price. Survivors include his mother, Lalia Price of Saltville; his daughter, Laken Price of Saltville; his sisters, Gail Boardwine of Saltville and Tina Price of Saltville; and three nephews, Eric Price, Anthony Boardwine, and Cody Boardwine. Funeral services for Mr. Richard Price will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 in the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Halsey and the Rev. Kenny Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant cemetery with Eric Price, Jeff Woodward, Bill Woodward, Evan Rickman, Larry Gates, Donald Davidson and Cody Boardwine serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be: Harold McAllister, Anthony Boardwine, Chub Arnold and L.B. Davidson. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
