Mrs. Anton (Clara T.) Anderson, 81, Foxhome, died Wednesday, April 10 at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Foxhome Lutheran Church. Rev. Bradley Jenson will officiate, and burial will be in Burau Cemetery, rural Foxhome.
One of 12 children of Jens and Mathilda (Engelson) Martinson, she was born Jan. 13, 1904, in Rothsay, where she also grew up and attended school. She was baptized and confirmed in Hamar Lutheran Church.
Ever since her marriage to Anton Anderson on Nov. 18, 1926, at her parent's home, she had resided in Wilkin County.
She was a member of Foxhome Lutheran Church, its ALCW, Foxhome Senior Citizens, Homemakers, and had worked in the dietary department of St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge for many years.
Survivors include her husband Anton; four daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Marcella) Heitkamp of Breckenridge, Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Ehlert and Mrs. John (Wanda) Bought, both of Foxhome, and Mrs. Eldon (Karen) Larson of Rothsay; four of five sons, Orlo of Winthrop, Calmer of Devils Lake, N.D., LeRoy of Fergus Falls and Keith of Alexandria; 38 of 39 grandchildren and 34 of 35 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Jess (Alice) Dodson of Parsons, Kan., Mrs. Sigurd (Junith) Christenson, Anna Cookman and Effie Rix, all of Fergus Falls, Esther Martinson of Rothsay, Mrs. Gilman (Ruby) Anderson of Terrebonne, Ore., and Mrs. Harold (Ella) Gesling of Mechanicsville, Iowa; and three brothers, Harry and Lester Martinson, both of Rothsay, and Herman Martinson of Pelican Rapids.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and resumes at the church one hour prior to services Saturday. There will be a public prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
