Holton died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, in Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
He was born April 7, 1916, in Trenton. He married Freda Daffodine Nelms on May 13, 1935, in Lubbock. He moved to Seminole in 1943. He was a station operator for Atlantic Richfield, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jackie Dean of Conroe and Jimmy Gwin of Dimebox; a daughter, Sandra Jean Hodge of Odessa; three brothers, Alfred, A.B. and Kenneth, all of Lubbock; five sisters, Geraldene Watson, Maxine Chadwick, Jenell Pagett and Connie Dean, all of Lubbock, and Norma Peden of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
