Thomas DuVall was the son of Mary Grable and Gabriel DuVall ( of St.Mary's Md.)

Thomas was married October 19, 1847 in Nelson County, Kentucky to Lydia Margaret Lloyd (1826-1868)

Their children were:
Mary Eliza
Gabriel
William Thomas
George Cyrus
Alfred Grable
Rebecca Ann
Samuel K. DuVall

On October 10, 1868, widower Thomas DuVall married Rachel Heffley (of Bardstown Kentucky) in Bullitt County, Kentucky and she faithfully continued to the care of raising the children from his first marriage.
