Fred Gilland, 63, 1325 W. 15th St., died at Ball Hospital of injuries sustained when he was struck by a truck at Pierce Street and Hoyt Avenue Friday evening.
Mr. Gilland, a self-employed brick and block layer, was a native and life resident of Muncie. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lena Landers, RR 1, Selma, and Mrs. Clara Jenkins, Muncie; and two brothers, Grover and Frank Gilland, both of Muncie.
The body was taken to Parson Mortuary where funeral arrangements are being completed.
